A very touristy cache in a very touristy place
An old story tells us about an old woman she lived all the lifetime in Curral das Freiras
(down in the valley northside).
She had never seen the sea (just a few miles southside).

Hier war uns leider zu viele Muggles um richtig auf die Suche gehen zu können.
Aber auch ohne die Dose gefunden bzw gesucht zu haben, fanden wir die Aussicht atemberaubend. Das war ein toller Start in unseren Madeira-Urlaub.

Nota para quem não domina o alemão. Está a dizer que havia muitos muggles e por isso não pode fazer a cache (então e isso não é um DNF?) mas que adorou e foi um início espectacular das férias na Madeira.

Found it in the company of my sons and nephew. My last visit to this location was during a wet and misty December in 1986! It is always nice to revisit wonderfull places with spectacular scenery. Thanks for placing this cache.

Op wandelvakantie in Madeira even een cache oppikken. Prachtig uitzicht daarboven. Een beetje zoekwerk naar het juiste pad maar perfecte coördinaten. De boom wijst inderdaad de weg.

First complete day on Madeira. We went sightseeing and took some time to search for this cache, while my girlfriend was taking pictures at Curral das Freiras. It was about 12.30 and I hadn't got much GPS accuracy, as the place was 20/25 meters away from the place the GPS declared it to be.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed the log, took a couple pictures and dropped a set of binoculars on my way back (and never got there again to look for them), so if anyone would care to look for them on the way to the cache site (they should be waterproof) and consider them as a cache gift, feel free to.

When searching for this one, we had a GPS accuracy of 7 meters. This was kind of difficult, but Han found it after 10 minutes or so. The spot and surroundings is isolated, when we were there, there were no other people around. I think that not many people will go up there. Thanks Mario for bringing us to this beautiful spot.
The cache is in very good condition, dry and well hidden. For the next one, maybe bringing a pencil sharpener would be helpful.
