One thing I would love, are maybe it could be possible even for the non-english CO to use a translations-site online to make the hint 'english'..
Love that I could go online and use google translate - it was a help several times, and it's better than only a portugese one.

We are fighting for cache listings and hints in both portuguese and english for quite some years.
It's been hard getting the message through, although the situation is not too bad actually. Most geocachers only think in those situations when they have the opportunity to go through them.
