Even if that application doesn't continue, there are other developers that could create their own applications, or spin that one off and make it legit. It is, after all, open source.

E parece que já houve um grupo que pegou no desenvolvimento do c:geo.

Nova aplicação no Market agora com o nome de c:geo - opensource

Já fizeram algumas melhorias pequenas mas úteis.

A ver se se mantém o apoio da GS em relação à API e se se consegue "endireitar" esta história toda.

Para quem tem a aplicação c:geo e quer migrar para a c:geo - opensource sem perder nada (waypoints, caches armazenadas, etc.) é só fazer backup nos settings da antiga e restore na nova.
