Eu até podia defender a TAP... ... mas é um facto de que é uma das melhores companhias para se viajar, a fazer fé nos resultados habituais divulgados pelos especialistas na matéria, quem quer que sejam. É prémios atrás de prémios e o camandro.
Pessoalmente não sei porque não viajo muito mas já tive dissabores na Airluxor, Tap, Portugália e SATA... nunca tive problemas na Niki nem na Orbest nem noutra de que agora não me lembro o nome. Sendo que nestas três últimas só viajei uma vez e nas outras não.

os criticos da Ryanair são tão patéticos como um vegetariano que vai a uma steak house e se queixa que é um nojo ter tanta carne no menu. Porra! A empresa não engana ninguém: é uma low cost e faz-se cobrar por aquilo que não é o seu serviço padrão.

Concordo completamente! 80% dos voos que fiz foi pela Ryanair e o único problema que tive foi um atraso de 20-30 minutos, mas estou e sempre estive ciente das taxas extra que eles cobram.

De resto, não posso comentar pois nunca viajei em nenhuma das citadas nesse Top 5.

Quanto à TAP, apesar de nunca ter viajado nesta companhia, nunca ouvi falar mal dela, pelo contrário...

Eu, acho que viajei talvez umas 10-15 vezes com a TAP, e se calhar não houve um voo sem chatices, enquanto em cerca de 80 voos com a Ryanair tive uma vez um atraso significativo, sendo que um atraso não é automaticamente responsabilidade da companhia, sendo-o contudo na chuva de atrasos recentes com a TAP, que é como quem diz, quando se vende o que não se tem pode dar chatices... mas deve ser porreiro porque devem continuar a ganhar prémios e o camandro como dizia o Rui.

A práctica mais abjecta de que tenho report em relação à TAP é na realidade uma das mais deploráveis que pode suceder: a de overbooking, algo que - considerando a minha experiência e a experiência acumulada da minha rede social que como devem imaginar se centra em clientes costumeiros da Ryanair - não é de todo feito pela companhia que supostamente é uma das cinco piores do mundo.

10 Hacks for Booking Flights



1. Sign Up for Email Alerts
Prices change…a lot.
How much?
Sometimes as much as 3 times per day.
Sign up to newsletters and deals from your favourite airlines to find out about sales in advance.
Also consider signing up for price alerts to monitor a particular flight route and see when the price fluctuates to ensure you book at the cheapest price.

2. Know the best time to buy
6-8 weeks out of the fly date is usually the best time to buy (with an exception for flash sales and deals).

3. …Except for Holiday Travel
Planning to travel at peak holiday season?
Plan no more.
Act now.
Book those tickets ASAP.
Seriously, run to the checkout with those tickets.
There’s no time to spare.
Are you booking yet?
You should be.

4. Travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
Flying mid-week is usually the cheapest time of the week to fly.
And the most expensive? Sundays.
Don’t travel on Sundays if money is a consideration as this is usually the most expensive day to fly.

5. Buy on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
But what about knowing when to buy?
Mid-week is more often than not the best day of the week to purchase flight tickets.

6. Use an Incognito Browser
Ever searched for a flight, returned to re-search the same flight a few days later and seen a massive price hike?
It’s true, your search history can be monitored by airlines.
To avoid price hikes, use a private window in your browser to search undetected.

7. Compare all of your options
Its no secret I’m an avid user of the website Skyscanner when booking and comparing flights – but that’s not to say that I always find the best deal there.
While most airlines are on the website with often the best deals, I have on occasion found better deals elsewhere – be it on a different flight comparison website or going through the airline direct.
I find the best way to ensure you save THE MOST amount of money is to search on a flight comparison booking engine, then take a look elsewhere to ensure you’re getting the best deal.

8. Travel Off-Season
This is an obvious one, but it saves a lot of money so it is well worth a mention when considering cutting the cost of flights. If you don’t have a destination in mind but can only travel at a particular time of the year, consider that it is always going to be off-season somewhere in the world. Be brave – branch out – and go somewhere new.
Experience a city or country when the streets aren’t filled with tourists elbowing one another in the line for an ice cream and trust me, you won’t regret it!

9. Make Stop-Overs
Another great way to save money on flights is to fly in-direct and make one (or multiple) stopovers along the way.
This will almost always be cheaper and can sometimes result in an impromptu day-long excursion into a new city or country you haven’t previously explored. Win-Win!

10. Collecting Miles – Yes, No, Maybe!?
Definitely!
But should you pay more for a ticket with your preferred airline in exchange for accumulating points?
Of course it totally depends on your personal preference.
If you have a preferred airline you like to travel with and use your points to upgrade your seats (assuming you travel a lot), then it is definitely a good idea to stay loyal. However if you’re looking to save the most money, consider flying with cheaper airlines and going for the ‘best deal’ each time, rather than relying on points systems.

12 Souvenirs to Stop Buying



1. I (heart) anything
It doesn’t matter if you heart NY or heart your favourite tv show, leave the “I [heart]” shirts on the store racks where they belong.
Because if there’s one thing you’ll come to realise its that no matter how much you heart it, it’s never enough to go on a t-shirt.

2. Leftover Foreign Coins
I’ll admit, I was once a fan of collecting coins and have even palmed off a few to my younger brother as a ‘gift’.
But they’re dirty and riddled with germs – that’s reason enough to leave the coins behind as a generous tip before you depart.

3. Keychains
Undeniably the worst gift you can give – or at least the most thoughtless.

4. Kitsch anything
While we’re on the topic of kitsch, lets be clear about kitsch souvenir gifts – anything you don’t need you can leave behind.
Spend the money that you would have spent on 10 meaningless gifts to purchase one thoughtful gift that doesn’t scream “been there, done that”.

5. Exotic spices / Anything weird & edible
Because no matter how interesting they look to you on the day, they’re never that interesting once at home and back to what you know.

6. Exotic Alcohol
Weird exotic alcohols can stay behind, too. No matter how drunk you got off that strange concoction.

7. Magnets
Because they’re right up there with keyrings.

8. Fake DVDs
…..Not even worth the explanation.

9. Airplane branded gifts
…..(see above).

10. Snowglobes
To be fair, sometimes you can permit yourself a sneaky snowglobe purchase – but only when said snowglobe is so extraordinary that you simply can’t leave the shop without it.

11. Plush toys for anyone over the age of three
Because there’s surely something better you could give as a gift.

12. Anything from the airport
And finally – the golden rule. No one should feel compelled to hand over a plastic bag with the bold and overbearing capital letters stating “DUTY FREE”… no one. Not now, not in a million years, never.
Why? Because it screams “I forgot about you on holiday so…..”
