Como todos deveremos saber, no próximo dia 25, entra em vigor a General Data Protection Regulation da UE.

No fórum oficial temos recebido várias instruções sobre essa nova realidade (pessoalmente no que concerne à moderação), que vai obrigar a algumas mudanças e muitas novidades para os usuários.
Ocorreu-me tentar saber como é que outros fóruns se irão adaptar... ou não.
Como ainda guardo boas recordações da equipa moderadora inicial do GeoPT, a curiosidade é ainda maior em relação ao "nosso" fórum.

O que pode saber-se já?

O que se pode saber é que o IAAN possivelmente de hoje a uma semana deixa de funcionar...

Mas apenas por um algum tempo para regularização e adaptação das normas, certo? Ou trata-se de uma desactivação permanente? :O

Aqui não se trata da adequação do (geopt-)

às normas, mas no que está a ser feito pelo Geocaching HQ e que passa nomeadamente por alterar a API. Assim o que terá de ser feito é uma adequação à API (esperemos que o Hulkman o garanta....)
Mas mesmo garantido e se é verdade o que coloquei acima não estou a ver bem como é que nós (ou o Project-GC) conseguirá manter uma posição completamente coerente e completa...
Mas vamos esperar para ver...

Respondendo agora ao post inicial do Rui.

Quando a adequações (geopt-)

não haverá muito a fazer (mais não seja por falta de capacidade para isso...).
O (geopt-)

não partilha os dados pessoais (pouco mais do que o e-mail) com ninguém...
Quem quiser ter um userid anonimizado (e não como o meu que indicie o nome) é só pedir a alteração como sempre foi possível.
Quem quiser ter o userid apagado é só pedir e será apagado. Os posts não serão apagados por cortarem completamente a lógica de sequência de um tópico, mas haverá sempre a possibilidade de antes de o userid ser apagado ser transformado num anonimizado (tipo guest...).
Os contactos que o (geopt-)

faz por mail (e com o fim dos prémios GPS a maioria se não todos cessaram) é sempre por intermédio do nick GC.com pelo que só continuará a ser feito o que o Geocaching HQ permitir...
Quem quiser apagar alguma da pouca informação que o (geopt-)

tem é só ir ao seu perfil de utilizador e alterar/apagar o que entender.
O IAAN só conterá a informação que a API permita...

Julgo que não é por aí que os novos geocachers eram apanhados...
...eram porque já não são há muito tempo...
Mas esse é o menor dos problemas. O principal é por exemplo se deixar de ser devolvida informação dos geocachers que não o autorizem saber-se se é premium ou basic e como consequência calcular-se o rácio de favoritos de uma cache de forma rigorosa...

Há quem esteja a trabalhar...
